What is Your Major Source of Traffic?

The legendary management guru, Peter Drucker, once wrote, “Concentration is the key to getting economic results.” I’ve often reflected on that statement and I’ve found a variety of applications for it in my life and ministry.

Recently I began to ponder over how this principle of concentration can be extended to blogging. I looked at all my traffic building techniques and I asked myself, “Which of them is singularly responsible for the largest percentage of traffic on my site?”

I’ve been thinking long and hard and so far.
I get traffic from a number of sources, such as:

  • Blog Carnivals
  • Comments in other people’s blogs.
  • Twitter
  • StumbleUpon
  • Mybloglog (A yahoo social media network)

So far, I think StumbleUpon is the winner!

My personal strategy is to prioritize my traffic sources and then do more of what works.  That way I leverage my output for more.

I’d like you to share your own answers with me…”Which of all of your traffic building techniques is responsible for the largest percentage of traffic on your site?
